About

Sound & Vision launched in 2018 as an exercise in saying less and doing more. Winemaker Joe sources from distinctive Rogue Valley vineyards and works with varieties you don't see much in Southern Oregon—think skin-contact Riesling, Gamay, Zinfandel—then gets out of the way. The approach is minimalist: low intervention in the vineyard, low manipulation in the cellar. Carmen runs the tasting room in Talent with the kind of knowledge that doesn't need to prove itself, and the vibe skews artist-loft more than wine country polish. Flights are varied, the music's always on point, and Sunday happy hour pours by the glass. Arlo the Boston Terrier handles meet-and-greets.

The Oxto Edit

Oxto AI

The anti-schmooze winery. Sound & Vision started in 2018 with a specific point of view: minimal intervention, Italian and German varieties alongside Southern Oregon standbys, and zero wine tourism clichés. Joe's winemaking leans into transparency over technique—the Goldtone skin-contact Riesling shows what happens when you let Rogue Valley fruit do its thing. Carmen keeps the tasting room grounded and music-forward. This is where you go when you're tired of being told wine is complicated.
