Zak grew up around his family's winery, Domaine de la Rivière, in Sonoma's Russian River Valley. Working the tasting room, he watched guests choose where to go on stars, lists, and luck, and saw how much uncertainty went into every visit.
With a background in private equity and hospitality, he combines institutional thinking with a deep understanding of consumer behavior, shaped by building a fast-growing audience and studying how people actually discover, choose, and share experiences.
Oxto is the result: a platform that connects people to wineries that actually fit what they're looking for, built by someone who has stood on both sides of the tasting room bar.
