Sparkman Cellars operates out of a converted warehouse in Woodinville with the kind of concrete-and-steel bones that make for good wine acoustics. Oxto AISparkman built their reputation on Cabernet—their Holler bottling hit Wine Spectator's Top 100 twice—but they're quietly making some of Washington's more interesting reds. The Baba Sangiovese blend and Gaga Touriga Nacional show actual range beyond the Bordeaux playbook. Tasting room doubles as an event space with surprisingly good sound for live music.
