About
Novelty Hill-Januik operates as two independent Washington wineries sharing a state-of-the-art Woodinville facility designed for both serious winemaking and hospitality. Mike Januik, a Washington wine pioneer since 1984, sources from the Columbia Valley's most established vineyards for the Januik label, while his son Andrew explores newer sites for his own wines. The Novelty Hill label focuses on estate fruit from Stillwater Creek vineyard. Combined, the three labels (including Andrew Januik Wines) have earned over 1,000 ratings of 90 points or higher. The architecturally striking tasting room offers wine by the glass, tasting flights, and a seasonal menu from their culinary team. The property handles everything from casual weekend tastings to full-scale weddings, with outdoor seating, event spaces, and a wine cave. Longtime members praise the modern-but-warm atmosphere and staff who balance wine knowledge with genuine hospitality.
The Oxto Edit
Oxto AIFather-son winemaking dynasty where Mike Januik's four decades of Columbia Valley relationships yield Cab and Syrah that rack up 90+ scores, while Andrew pushes boundaries with younger vineyards. The modern tasting room doubles as an events destination with an in-house kitchen turning out Northwest fare that actually pairs intentionally with the wines—not an afterthought.
