Kiona isn't just old for Red Mountain — they created Red Mountain. When John Williams planted grapes here in 1975, people questioned his sanity. Now three generations later, the family still farms the same estate ground that helped define Washington's most concentrated AVA. Their Cabernet and Malbec earn consistent 90+ scores, but the real flex is the Lemberger they've been bottling for 40 vintages while everyone else chased trends. The tasting room overlooks vines they've known since dirt, and that generational knowledge shows in wines that balance Red Mountain power with actual drinkability. This is what happens when you stay put long enough to really know a place.
