The Oxto Edit

Oxto AI

The new Healdsburg tasting room is the right room for these wines — intimate, beautifully done, nothing competing for your attention. Ross Cobb has been farming the far Sonoma Coast since 1989, and the lineup reflects it: block-designated Pinots with real Pacific grip, a Riesling that surprises people, and a Chardonnay that doesn't need an explanation. This is a sit-down, slow-down kind of visit.

About

Cobb Wines was founded in 2001 when winemaker Ross Cobb partnered with his parents David and Diane, who had planted Coastlands Vineyard on the far Sonoma Coast in 1989. The family farms three estate vineyards—Coastlands, Doc's Ranch, and Abigail's—and sources from carefully selected sites across the Sonoma Coast and Anderson Valley. Ross focuses on cool-climate Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Riesling, with an emphasis on single-vineyard and single-block bottlings that express specific terroir. The wines are crafted for serious enthusiasts, with designated blocks like Old Firs, Swan & Calera Selection, and JoAnn's Block. Cobb operates a wine club called The Compendium Club with two annual releases (Grower Release in August, Estate Release in February) and recently opened a tasting room in Healdsburg featuring live music events.
