2 Lads runs a proper operation—gravity-flow winemaking, minimal pumping and filtering, 23 acres of estate fruit on Old Mission Peninsula. The 10,500-square-foot facility sits near the tip of the peninsula with bay views, but this isn't about scenery tourism. They're making legit cool-climate reds and sparkling in a region better known for white wines. The Cab Franc draws industry folks and repeat customers alike. The space runs loud when busy, but the wine holds up. Charcuterie boards pair well with their focused lineup. This is Michigan viticulture done with intent—no filler wines, just estate fruit handled right.
The Oxto Edit
Oxto AIPlanted in '99, '01, and '08 across 23 acres, these blocks yield serious cool-climate reds and sparkling that justify the multi-level gravity-flow setup. The Cab Franc is the standout.
