Del Vino Vineyards sits on Northport's rolling hills, where the Giachetti family makes wine the way their ancestors did in San Leucio, Italy—recipes from the 1800s, Italian varietal focus, old-world style. Fred and Lisa started making wine for their own dinner table two decades ago; now they're running a full operation with estate fruit and a tasting room that's literally their house. The wines are unapologetically Tuscan-inspired: red blends named Suprema and Grande, a Super Tuscan reserve, Vin Santo, plus some Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio for balance. They also make a brut sparkler called Amanti and release member-only bottles like Montepulciano and Golden Oak. The property has become Long Island's engagement photo headquarters—multiple reviews detail elaborate proposal setups with the in-house photographer Christine, who apparently moonlights as a surprise-coordination expert. They've got private event spaces (Tuscan Room, Upper Room), food service, and a wine club. Open Wednesday through Sunday. This is Long Island's version of a family Tuscan estate, minus the centuries-old stone and plus a lot of anniversary celebrations.
